|
| How do I submit a photo? |
Attach a photo (jpg gif or tif) to a mail, preferably 300x300 or less and mail to photo@adastralpark.com. Each advert may have a photo for general display and a photo for members only. (in the case of couples that's a photo each for general display and one each for members only).
|
| Why is AdastralPark free? |
AdastralPark are not prepared to discuss their revenue model in detail at this time. In the event of a change of policy, AdastralPark will remain a free site to all current members at that point.
|
| Why join a free site, when I can pay for one? |
Go and pay if you like and you may find only true swingers on the site, or people who join anything. Many pay sites charge you to view, but NOT to display an advert. This makes them just as vulnerable as free sites to jokers. There's nothing wrong with pay-sites, BUT most people won't even pay for Internet Access!! The people you may have met could be on our free site.

|
| How do I answer an advert? |

|
| What is the strange looking link below the advert text? NEW |
The reason for this is to allow advertisers to quote a link to their advert in replies to emails or newsgroup items. Cut and paste the link into an email or newsgroup reply and it will allow others to view the advert, regardless of whether they are logged in or not. Previously, no one could veiw an advert unless they were logged in.
|
| Can I post a link to my advert on newsgroups? NEW |
AdastralPark provide the facility and the mechanisim to allow members to post a link to their adverts in mails and newsgroups. It is not really up to AdastralPark where you place the links, but we would like to offer some guidelines:-
- Always read a group before posting to it to make sure it's really
what you think. Titles can sometimes be deceptive.
- Check out the charter or Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) for the
group in question in case they answer your questions. Regulars in
newsgroups can get understandably irate when someone new comes along
and posts the same thing as a hundred previous posters.
- Don't post in HTML and don't post binary files (including pictures,
programs etc) unless the group charter specifically allows them. Many
people still pay for their internet access and don't appreciate having
to download large news postings.
- Avoid quoting an entire post just to add a line or two - trim down
the quotes to the relevant section.
- Despite the defaults on some newsreaders, usenet convention is to
put replies under the quoted material in order to establish context for
the reply. Don't assume that everyone will receive the same posts in
the same order, the vagaries of usenet propagation mean that posts can
arrive out of sequence.
